They are both around the same price. She has been asking for a trampoline for awhile. She asked for the electric scooter on her christmas list though.
Which do you think would be better?
You should definately buy the trampoline because your daughter will have a lot more fun jumping aroung and learning new tricks on her trampoline than she would just riding around the driveway in a scooter. Another thing to consider is not just how fun it is but does she already have a bike, if so the scooter might not be the best choice because she already has something mobile. Think about which one she talks about more to you, which one is safer, and which one your daughter would use more. The trampoline will also provide more exercise for her too. I hope this helps.

2010 Mar 04 5I think a trampoline would be better because there safer and an electric scooter will eventually break, because its electric, and only one person can play on it. A trampoline can fit about four people and won’t break easy, there more fun too.

2010 Mar 04 6I would have loved to have had a trampoline at that age and its a real good source of exercise where as the scooter being an electric one isnt really. Also if you live in the UK or any where else where it rains alot the scooter wont get much use where as the trampoline would be enclosed and im sure iv seen some with overhead covers.

2010 Mar 04 7i would do the trampoline with enclosure cause they are a lot safer than electric scooters. the scooters go really fast and are really scary even for older kids. and trampolines are a lot of fun!! => hope this helps.

2010 Mar 04 11Both could be dangerous. I would say a trampoline, but so many children end up with back and neck injuries from them. With the scooter, she would need a safe place to ride and know how to use hand brakes. Also, they go a lil fast. I guess you would know your daughter best and what she could handle.

2010 Mar 04 12Ok, they are both really cool gifts so I can see where it’s hard to decided.
If you do get her the trampoline, do you have the space for it? Also think about the fact that you’re going to need to keep an eye on her at all times when she’s on it. Those things CAN be dangerous.
and if you’re thinking about getting her a scooter, is there a place where she can be on it that’s safe??
In MY opinion, I think the trampoline is better. Sure, it might be a bit more upkeep then the scooter, but when she has friends over they BOTH can get on it. 2 people can get on it at a time. As for the scooter, it’s not the same.
By the sounds of it, she wants a trampoline more so then a scooter. Maybe the scooter was something she seen on T.V, and thought WOW. COOOOOOL. Something that interested her for the moment, but not something like the trampoline which has been on her mind for a while.
Good luck with it all. Whatever she gets… I know she’ll love it!!
Cheers

2010 Mar 04 13Trampoline makes your house insurance payment spike if they ever find out, or especially if there is ever an accident.
Personally I’d go scooter.

2010 Mar 04 15Before you buy that trampoline, you had better check with you home owner’s insurance. They could actually cancel you because of it.
Trampolines are dangerous. Your child could break something and actually get a spinal injury. I would check on safety first. Even with the enclosure and padding. Find out first.
If you rent your house then you bettere check with the landlord who owns the insurance because they could make you get rid of it or make you move..
